US military trucks will order themselves spare parts

That’s it, that’s why the military is just beginning to study what simple electric cars already have, stuffed to the eyeballs with electronics, but plan to implement them in the next generation.
Now the military trucks have to be serviced manually, independently identifying defects and ordering the necessary details, which is a long time, and the logistics are affected negatively – due to the downtime of the broken cars, the delivery times are broken.
«The same trucks that will replace them, will perform routine operations on their own, freeing people for more important tasks. The machine itself will be able to find the problem and order the necessary details on the 3D printer», explained Michael Dan of the military department.
A body kit for a military truck of the future is already under development, so this summer the creators will conduct the first tests of the filling.
